Video Games, Good or Bad Idea This Christmas?

Video Games, Good or Bad Idea This Christmas?

Dr. Rachel Kowart

Dr. Rachel Kowert, author of A Parent's Guide to Video Games, is on the podcast today talking about the good, the bad, and the ugly or video games.
Being a person who is not into video games all that much because I prefer being outdoors than being rooted on the couch, I don't let my kiddos play much either. So, this topic was super interesting to me because I, like most parents don't know much about video games and I had concerns that the cons out weighed the pros.

I know we are getting close to Christmas and you may have already picked up a few video games against your will, making sure Santa delivers. But, I am here to tell you that this episode will help you overcome the fears, have a better research backed perspective as to whether video games are right for your family and also how to buy the right ones. So video games, good or bad idea this Christmas? You tell me.

If you are like me, you have hardly anytime to sit down much less READ. I have made it a point this year to read more books. Because we cannot grow without learning. But the mom life makes it almost impossible right? That's where I have found my love for Audible. I can fold laundry, walk the dog, cook dinner or be in the car and listening to a good book. Whether it's a self help or fiction book I can fit my reading time in while doing other things at the same time. Multi-tasking! What moming is all about!
