PCOS and Day in the Life With IVF Treatments
Isn't my friend Nikki beautiful? I will tell you what, I DID NOT look that good when I was pregnant. But oh my gosh, her journey to getting to the place of conception is such a beautiful one. This episode is all the feels.
Nikki and I talk about her journey with PCOS and infertility to all the steps they took to getting pregnant. I got educated let me tell you. Most of us assume that it is a hard process to have a baby when you are struggling with infertility, but Nikki really brings it home giving us a better understanding of what she (and many mothers) have to go through mentally, physically and emotionally for the chance at motherhood. Which is a part we as "outsiders" often miss to see or understand.
I hope this episode reaches those mommas who are currently going through this, or have overcome and can find relation and comfort in being apart of the same tribe as Nikki. If you haven't been through a similar experience, then all the more reason to listen so we can better understand our friends and family members who might and better support them. And thank you Nikki for being so transparent about your story. Love you friend.
Ps. before you listen grab some tissues my friend.
Nikki shares some specific prayers that she found helpful during her journey:
Praying that god will center your marriage on him and strengthen your relationship with each other. That you ask god to keep this child from straining your marriage.
Pray that the Lord will reveal his plan for your infertility to you. And that he will allow you to see His purpose for you, even in small ways.
- Jeremiah 29:11
- Romans 8:28
Praying that God will give you wisdom and discernment from advice from doctors and friends.
Praying that God will not allow the root of bitterness or jealousy towards others that have children.
Paying that God will produce in you patience and character during this trial.
Praying that God will give you His strength as you see infertility from a kingdom perspective
- 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

If you are like me, you have hardly anytime to sit down much less READ. I have made it a point this new year to read more books. Because we cannot grow without learning. But the mom life makes it almost impossible right? That's where I have found my love for Audible. I can fold laundry, walk the dog, cook dinner or be in the car and listening to a good book. Whether it's a self help or fiction book I can fit my reading time in while doing other things at the same time. Multi-tasking! What moming is all about!
